How to Apply Fujifilm LUT Filters to Any Phone Camera
The Fujifilm look — those muted Classic Chrome tones, vivid Velvia landscapes, or moody Eterna cinema vibes — has always been locked to Fuji cameras. Not anymore. With FujiCam, you can apply authentic Fujifilm 3D LUT film simulations to your iPhone, Android, or any device with a camera and browser.
What You'll Need
- • Any phone or computer with a camera
- • A modern browser (Safari, Chrome, Firefox)
- • That's it — no app download, no account, no payment
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Open FujiCam
Navigate to fujicam.app on your phone's browser. The app works best in Safari on iPhone and Chrome on Android. You can also add it to your home screen as a PWA for a full-screen, app-like experience.
Step 2: Grant Camera Access
Tap the camera icon in the center of the screen. Your browser will ask for camera permission — tap "Allow." The camera feed will start with the default Classic Chrome film simulation already applied.
Step 3: Choose Your Film Simulation
Swipe through the film strip at the bottom of the screen. Each simulation applies in real-time — you'll see the color changes instantly in the viewfinder. Try a few to find the look that matches your scene:
- • Classic Chrome for street and documentary
- • Velvia for landscapes and vivid colors
- • Nostalgic Neg. for warm vintage vibes
- • Acros for dramatic black & white
- • Eterna for cinematic, moody tones
Step 4: Capture Your Photo
Tap the shutter button to take a photo. On mobile, you'll get the option to save directly to your Photos album via the system share sheet. The photo is captured at your camera's full resolution with the film simulation baked in.
How Is This Different from Instagram Filters?
Instagram filters are simple color overlays. FujiCam uses real Fujifilm 3D LUT color profiles — the same color science found in actual Fujifilm cameras. The result looks authentic and natural, not artificially filtered.
Pro Tips
- Use the grid overlay — Tap the grid icon to enable rule-of-thirds guidelines for better composition.
- Add to home screen — For a full-screen experience, add FujiCam to your home screen. It works like a native app.
- Try "Original" mode — Swipe to "Original" to see your unfiltered camera feed, then compare with any film simulation.
